We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team in the Disability Services industry. As a Direct Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals who require support and assistance in their daily lives.

In this role, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment. You will work closely with individuals, their families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure that individual needs are met and goals are achieved.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and transportation
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to individuals, fostering a positive and empowering environment
  • Assisting individuals in developing and maintaining life skills, such as communication, socialization, and problem-solving
  • Implementing and documenting individualized support plans, ensuring that goals and objectives are being met
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, case managers, and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care
  • Advocating for individuals’ rights and ensuring that they receive the necessary resources and support to live fulfilling lives
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and other required records

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Knowledge of person-centered approaches and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with individuals, families, and team members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Additional hours for special events

 

Pay

  • $18+ per hour (depending upon experience)
  • Sign on bonus after successfully completing 90 days

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Day Program Manager. As a Day Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our program, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our participants and staff members. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the day program, including scheduling, staffing, and participant activities
  • Develop and implement program policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices
  • Co duct regular meetings with staff members to provide guidance and support, as well as to address any concerns or issues that may arise
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement, based on participant feedback and state guidelines
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, families/caregivers and case management agencies, to enhance program services and referrals
  • Monitor participant progress and track outcomes, using data to inform program development and decision-making
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, promoting respect, dignity, and equality

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the disability services industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of program management principles and practices  
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff members
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast­ paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a client-centered approach in service delivery

 

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Additional hours for special events

 

Pay

  • $45,000+
  • Sign on bonus after successfully completing 90 days
